Luke Mandekic will be based in Aberdeen’s Melbourne office, serving as the firm’s regional sales manager.
Aberdeen head of distribution Stuart James said: “Luke is an experienced industry professional with a strong understanding of investments and clients’ needs.”
Mr Mandekic will join Aberdeen from AMP’s advice research team where he was a model portfolio manager. He has previously held analyst and research positions at AXA.
“Thanks to his previous roles, he joins Aberdeen with a good working knowledge of our fund range, which is a distinct advantage,” Mr James said.
“His background in investment research and portfolio construction will allow him to add real value to our client base.”
Mr Mandekic will be responsible for representing Aberdeen's equities, fixed income and multi-asset funds to the wholesale market, a statement issued by the firm said.
