Former Dimensional Fund Advisors executive Ross Kent has been appointed by NAB Asset Management as head of global institutional distribution.

Mr Kent has left his position as institutional regional director at Dimensional Fund Advisors to join NAB Asset Management in the role of head of global institutional distribution.

NAB Asset Management general manager Brendan Donohoe said it was important to have an individual of “the highest calibre” to lead the institutional sales team.

“Given Ross’s extensive industry experience in both institutional and retail distribution, client and business management and his well-honed leadership and strategic skills, he was a natural fit for the role,” Mr Donohoe said.

Before his time at Dimensional Fund Advisors, Mr Kent was AllianceBernstein's chief executive for Australia and New Zealand. He has also previously served as managing director for AMP Financial Services in New Zealand.

“[NAB Asset Management] has an outstanding reputation in the institutional market for both understanding individual client needs and delivering tailored solutions through its diverse range of domestic and global strategies across a wide range of asset classes,” Mr Kent said.

“I look forward to continuing the good momentum built by the team and driving broader business growth.”
