Simon Holt, who is taking up the role, has held senior finance positions at both Westfield and WorleyParsons over the past 16 years and was most recently chief financial officer of WorleyParsons.
Mr Holt will work alongside group chief executive John McBain with a specific focus on expanding the company.
Mr McBain said: “Simon is well qualified to help steer Centuria through its next period of growth and on behalf of senior management and the board of directors, we welcome him to Centuria.”
Christopher Johnston will remain as group financial controller.
“Both management and the board of directors recognise Mr Johnston’s important contribution to the company during the CFO recruitment period,” Centuria Capital said in statement.
