Bentham hires senior portfolio manager

Bentham Asset Management has named Daniel Conti as its newest senior portfolio specialist, following his nine years working with Credit Suisse.

Mr Conti’s time with Credit Suisse saw him focus on credit and alternatives, and Bentham managing director Richard Quin says this experience will “add to the depth of skills and market knowledge” within the company.

“We’re excited to grow the team and believe Daniel will contribute significantly as we continue to build out our business,” he said.

The addition of Mr Conti to the team follows a “challenging” period for fixed income markets, with Mr Quin adding that “credit investments will have an important role to play” over the next 30 years.

“Investors seeking yield as well as protection from rising interest rates and inflation will likely need a greater allocation to credit, particularly global credit which can offer a greater opportunity set with higher levels of diversification and greater liquidity than the local market.”
