Former BlackRock research relationship manager vice-president Thira Ngoeun has been appointed to the role.
The new appointment comes as Nikko AM introduces new pricing models to its funds.
Nikko AM managing director for Australia, Sam Hallinan, said the new appointment will reinforce relationships.

Prior to his role with BlackRock, Mr Ngoeun worked with AMP Financial Services as a model portfolio manager and senior research analyst.
