IFM Investors has recruited former Whitehelm Capital senior executive David Perkis to strengthen its private capital team.

David Perkis has joined IFM Investors' private capital team as an associate director, a new role that will be responsible for "identifying, evaluating and managing private equity portfolio company investments".

Mr Perkis has made the move from Whitehelm Capital, where he was a senior associate responsible for investment management across both listed and unlisted property and infrastructure.

Before that, he held investment banking positions at Gresham Partners and Citigroup.
