Mr Shaw joins the business after two years of consulting to superannuation funds and government entities as part of Novarca, a company focused on minimising investment cost.
NAB executive general manager of asset servicing, John Comito, said Mr Shaw will bring a great deal of experience to the role and will ensure NAB uses its full capacity to “support this important customer segment”.
“Ken’s deep custody expertise, knowledge and industry networks will be highly valued as we continue to respond to the changing needs of our customers and assist them to meet their strategic objectives,” he said.
Prior to working with Novarca, Mr Shaw spent 12 years with BNP Paribas in roles that included head of relationship management and client services, and director of change management, risk and compliance.
Mr Shaw has led teams in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
