Man Group expands institutional team

Man Group has appointed Chris Comino as institutional sales manager in the company’s Sydney office.

Mr Comino makes the move to Man Group from HSBC Global Asset Management, and brings over 25 years of experience to his new role, where he will focus on institutional opportunities for the company’s long-only investment strategies.

Prior to his role with HSBC, Mr Comino has worked with Merrill Lynch, HFA Asset Management and IPAC Investment Services.

“I am delighted to welcome Chris to our institutional team in Sydney,” said Hersh Gandhi, Man Group managing director of Asia-Pacific.

“His appointment reflects our commitment to invest in our institutional business in Australia, and his wealth of experience with institutional clients across a range of investment strategies will be a great addition to our existing team,” he commented.

Mr Gandhi added that Mr Comino’s appointment would assist the business meet the needs of its clients.

“We continue to see growing interest from institutional investors in our offering of investment strategies, and Chris will play a key role in helping us to meet that demand,” he said.
