Mr Stammer has over 45 years’ experience in the financial services industry, and has held executive positions with the Reserve Bank of Australia, Deutsche Bank and ING Group Australia.
Stanford Brown chief executive Jonathan Hoyle said Mr Stammer would bring a “wealth of experience and a wise head” to the business.
“Together with the recent recruitment of Ashley Owen as chief investment officer, we now have a genuinely world-class investment committee to oversee the management of our new discretionary managed accounts,” he said.
Mr Stammer has previously served on investment committees with other financial services firm, and is also a director of Kaplan Higher Education and an adviser to both the Third Link Growth Fund and Altius Asset Management.
