Morningstar hires head of institutional BDM

Morningstar Australasia has announced the appointment of James Louw as director of institutional business development.

Mr Louw makes the move from Shadforth, where he has been the dealer group's head of Tasmania since 2012.

In his new role at Morningstar, Mr Louw will be responsible for building and managing key business relationships with wealth management businesses and financial planning dealer groups.

He will report jointly to Morningstar Australasia head of business development Heather Dawson and Morningstar Investment Management Asia-Pacific managing director Chris Galloway.

Mr Louw has 23 years of experience in the professional services industry, predominantly with firms providing wealth management and investment advisory services.
