Mr Lynn most recently served with the company’s Singapore multi-asset team, before which he was the managing director for Nikko Asset Management New Zealand.
“I am looking forward to working closely with Sam and the whole Australian team,” he said, referring to the company's Australian managing director, Sam Hallinan.
“There is a lot of positive momentum and revitalised energy in Nikko AM Australia of which I am excited to be a part.”
In his new role, Mr Lynn will take charge of several facets of the business, including technology, human resources, finance and operations.
Mr Lynn commences as chief operating officer on 6 February 2017, and will be based in Sydney.
