Ms Ewart was formerly managing director of Meritage Capital, and has previously held roles with Bocage Capital, UBS Securities and Mesirow Advanced Strategies.
In addition to the appointment of Ms Ewart, Stafford Capital Partners has named Marek Guizot and James Allen as investment managers in timber and agriculture respectively.
Prior to his appointment with the company, Mr Guizot served as forestry director at Green Resources, a forest products company that operates across East Africa.
Mr Allen has worked with the company for 18 months, however now joins in a full-time capacity and will oversee the business’ investment appraisal, financial modelling, due diligence and investor reporting for the agriculture strategy.
“We are delighted to welcome Michelle and Marek to the Stafford team, and for James to be joining us full-time,” said Stafford Capital Partners chief executive Angus Whitely.
“We are deepening our real assets capabilities, with this added specialist expertise in timberland and agriculture building on recent infrastructure hires. At the same time, Michelle’s appointment in the US allows us to better serve the needs of institutions in the US.”
