Mr Aquilina has worked in the industry for more than a decade, and has managed and invested in infrastructure businesses in Australia and Europe.
4D Infrastructure global equity strategist Greg Goodsell said Mr Aquilina has been involved in a number of large privatisation and secondary market transactions, and has experience supporting members of infrastructure company boards.
“He recently worked for Lazard Australia in the financial advisory division, where he advised corporates and governments on a number of M&A transactions and strategic reviews,” Mr Goodsell said.
“Peter also worked for a number of years in London for First State Investments and JP Morgan Asset Management in their respective infrastructure direct investment teams. There, he undertook investment analysis on potential acquisition targets and was involved in asset transactions.”
Mr Goodsell said Mr Aquilina’s “strong unlisted infrastructure expertise” would add depth to the team and complement its listed exposure.
“Following this appointment, 4D is close to being fully resourced with active stock coverage of all four corners of the globe, including emerging markets.”
