Stella Choe will replace the retiring Shane Taylor as head of corporate banking for Citi in Australia and New Zealand.
Ms Choe joined Citi in 2014 as head of corporate bank, financial institutions. She will remain the role "for the time being", according to a statement by the bank.
Before her time at Citi, Ms Choe served in senior positions at HSBC, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan in Asia, Europe and the US.
She will replace Mr Taylor as head of corporate banking, "who has decided to retire after many years of service".
"We would like to thank Shane for his tremendous leadership of the corporate bank over the past eight years," said the statement.
Mr Taylor will remain with Citi for "several months" to assist with the transition process.
