Northern Trust adds BDM to Melbourne office

Global custodian Northern Trust has appointed David McWilliams to its Melbourne office as a business development manager.

Northern Trust has appointed David McWilliams and Tania Tuxford to its Melbourne and Sydney offices, respectively.

The firm has also appointed Simon McDonough to its Sydney office as a senior equity program trader.

Mr McWilliams and Ms Tuxford will service asset owners and asset managers in the Australasia region. They will both report to head of sales for corporate and institutional services Asia-Pacific Angelo Calvitto.

Ms Tuxford was most recently a senior relationship manager with ANZ Wealth, and Mr McWillams makes the move from JP Morgan Investors Services.

Northern Trust Australasia head Madeleine Senior said, "We are delighted to appoint Tania and David to help drive growth in our asset servicing business across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands."

"We see an increasing demand from institutional clients for products, services and technology solutions that help them navigate the ever-changing complexities associated with various regulations, whilst optimising investment performance and managing risk."

Mr McDonough joins the Northern Trust Sydney equity trading desk from ITG where he was vice president, electronic sales and trading.
