Former NAB head of community engagement Jodi Kennedy has joined Equity Trustees as general manager of charitable trusts and philanthropy.

After 10 years with NAB’s corporate social responsibility team, Jodi Kennedy will step into the newly created role at Equity Trustees following a restructure of the company earlier this year that saw the philanthropy and charitable trust management services merge together.

Trustee and Wealth Services (TWS) executive general manager Ian Westley said the restructure was part of a repositioning to meet demand for services and growth.

“Our focus was on ensuring we can continue to provide excellent service to our clients, beneficiaries and the many charitable and NFP bodies we provide grants to, and play a key role in nurturing a philanthropic culture in our country,” Mr Westley said.

“I am confident Jodi will bring the energy, experience and passion we need to help us fulfil our ambitions.”

Equity Trustees managing director Mick O’Brien said he warmly welcomed Ms Kennedy to the team and that the company was “deeply invested in growing and developing philanthropy”.

“We are excited at this new phase in the development of our company as a leading provider of charitable and philanthropic expertise in Australia,” he said.
