Perennial Value Management has announced the promotion of its senior investment specialist to head of retail sales.

With over two decades’ experience in funds management and capital markets, Cesar Farfan makes the internal move from his previous role and will “lead a dedicated retail division in support of advisers and their clients” in his new position, according to a spokesperson.

Commenting on the appointment, Perennial Value managing director John Murray said: “Cesar’s appointment comes at a crucial time for our organisation as we expand our investment capabilities across the business, particularly at a time when the industry faces challenges and competition from new entrants and disruptors.”

Mr Farfan held roles at Westpac, MLC, Macquarie Bank and IOOF before joining Perennial Value in 2015 and has “extensive hands-on experience dealing with investors and advisers in Australia and internationally”, the spokesperson said.
