Joining the fixed interest team at Janus Henderson, Shan Kwee has over 14 years’ experience in investment and most recently headed portfolio management at Omega Global Investors, prior to which he was at Vanguard Investments.
Janus Henderson head of Australian fixed income Glenn Feben said it was “exciting” to add “someone of Shan’s calibre and background” to the team.
“In this newly created role, Shan will focus primarily on the effective management of non-government securities and related derivative instruments in credit specific and diversified fixed interest portfolios,” Mr Feben said.
Head of pan Asia Rob Adams added Janus Henderson would continue to be “forward-looking” with “solid growth from both the retail and institutional channels”.
“Shan’s appointment is another indication of that, and of our long-term commitment to the Australian market,” he said.
