According to a statement, Mr Rizzo has had “several decades of corporate experience”, having also held positions on the board of Foxtel, the Defence Audit and Risk Committee of the Department of Defence, IBM Australia, Rothschild, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, and the Seven Network.
He also held executive roles at Telstra, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and ANZ.
Commenting on his own appointment, Mr Rizzo said, “Wingate’s senior executives are deeply knowledgeable and professional, with a nice blend of wanting growth and high returns, but doing so in a diligent and deliberate way.
“This role as chairman of the WIP Committee is largely about risk management – which is where my focus has been for many years.”
Wingate Property managing director Ryan Levin said he was delighted to welcome Mr Rizzo to the board.
“His broad knowledge, deep experience and strong risk and investment acumen will no doubt build on WIPs’ already very successful formula, and he will be a real asset to the fund,” Mr Levin said.
