Investment consultant Willis Towers Watson has appointed a senior portfolio manager and added two other analysts to its portfolio management team in Sydney.

Former NAB senior analyst Kathereen Cabreros has joined Willis Towers Watson as a senior analyst.

With 20 years’ experience in custody and administration under her belt, Ms Cabreros was most recently an associate at NAB for nearly 10 years, based in Melbourne.

Before that, she held positions at other organisations as an accounting assistant, investment manager, university professor and senior fixed income dealer.

Joining her on the portfolio management team is former BlackRock director and Bank of New York managing director Oliver Berry and former BNP Paribas senior fund administrator Ricky Wang, who will assume the roles of senior portfolio specialist and analyst, respectively.

Commenting on the appointment, Willis Towers Watson director of investments for Australia Martin Goss said portfolio management allowed clients to access the firm's "best ideas".

"By outsourcing manager selection, due diligence and operations, investors can focus their limited resources while tightening up their risk management," Mr Goss said.

"All three appointments will enhance the delivery of these solutions.”
