The head of operations and financial intermediaries at Crestone has made a move to online stockbroker OpenMarkets as its new chief operating officer.

Lee Redpath joins OpenMarkets with over two decades’ experience in senior roles at major consulting and finance firms, according to a statement.

Prior to being a partner and head of operations and financial intermediaries at Crestone, Mr Redpath was an executive director and head of various departments at UBS Wealth Management during his time at the company spanning 2001-2015.

Before that, he was a consultant at Accenture for four years.

In the new role, Mr Redpath will manage and provide strategic leadership, contribute to the day-to-day management of the company and work closely with chief executive Andrea Marani.

His role will see him support the business’ operational growth, including product development, IT, settlements, back office and service delivery.

Ms Marani said Mr Redpath had developed a record of delivering growth for financial services firms.

“His leadership, vision and clarity of decision-making qualify him to drive OpenMarkets and build on the foundations of our first five years,” she said.

“I look forward to working with him as we continue to extend our reach.”
