Centric Wealth founder and former chief executive Glen Castensen has been appointed to the newly created role of executive at non-aligned dealer group Fortnum Private Wealth.

Mr Castensen will be responsible for driving the business’ service offering and growth strategy, Fortnum said in a release, and will report to the company’s managing director, Neil Younger.

“We are excited to have such a well-respected, experienced executive on board to support Fortnum’s growth initiatives and also work closely with our advisers to drive growth in their underlying businesses,” Mr Younger said.

“Glen’s deep knowledge and understanding of the advice industry and his experience in building advice capabilities will be very valuable to Fortnum practices and principals.”

Mr Castensen has held numerous senior roles within the financial services industry throughout his career, including managing director of Berkley Group before co-founding Centric Wealth in 2005.

Mr Castensen said the appointment with Fortnum was “wonderful” and that he looked forward to the role.

“I strongly believe there has never been a more important time for consumers or greater value placed by advisers on the need to have an unbiased environment for them to receive and offer financial services,” he said.

“I joined Fortnum with that very much in mind and look forward to working with their planners, existing and future, over the years to come.”
