Mr Lewis-Williams makes the jump to PM Capital as its new Sydney-based sales director after nine years at Threadneedle Investments.
During his time at the asset manager, he held senior product and relationship manager roles spanning London and Singapore.
He has also previously worked at Lloyd George Investment Management in London and Standard Chartered Bank Investment Group in New York.
In his new role, he will be responsible for sales of PM Capital’s suite of funds across New South Wales, Australia.
PM Capital chief executive Ben Skilbeck said the firm was delighted to have Mr Lewis-Williams bring his international experience and local expertise and contacts to the team.
“James’ addition in New South Wales enhances our national capabilities following the appointments of sales directors James Noone in Queensland and Rebecca Morgan in Victoria,” he said.
Commenting on his own appointment, Mr Lewis-Williams said the PM Capital team “genuinely offers a differentiated investment proposition”.
“This is a great opportunity - joining a dynamic, client focused fund management business with a very skillful investment team that has delivered industry-leading returns over the years for investors.”
