UniSuper announced in a statement that Mr Donoghue will join the industry fund, bringing with him 15 years of experience to his new role where he will assume responsibility for design and delivery of UniSuper member and partner experiences.
He will also drive greater member engagement with their superannuation, according to the statement.
Prior to his time at NAB, Mr Donoghue worked at telecommunications firms Telstra, Optus and People Telecom in various roles from 2006 to 2016.
UniSuper chief customer officer Lee Scales said that the industry fund was pleased to welcome Mr Donoghue to the team.
“His passion and expertise will greatly influence the way all of our members and employer partners interact with UniSuper, now and into the future.”
Ms Scales added that UniSuper sought to “be on the front foot of innovation and user experience” as members engaged more with their superannuation.
“The capability that Brendan is building in his team will sit at the core of UniSuper being a successful, ‘customer-obsessed’ organisation.”
UniSuper has approximately $66 billion assets under management on behalf of 400,000 members.
