TH Real Estate announced in a statement that Mr Marston would assume responsibility for asset management strategy for the company.
Prior to joining TH Real Estate, Mr Marston four years at Invesco as a real estate asset manager and then associate director, asset management.
Before that, he was at AMP Capital Investors as a senior investment analyst, office and industrial from 2012 to 2014.
Mr Marston has also held senior analyst roles at London-based firm Grosvenor Estates as well as Dexus Property Group.
TH Real Estate head of Australia Nick Evans said the appointment of Mr Marston was a “strong addition” to the Australian team.
“He brings an impressive track record in managing real estate across multiple sectors. I look forward to working with him as we continue to build our business across debt and equity,” he said.
Commenting on his own appointment, Mr Marston said Australia had “one of the most promising and resilient real estate markets in the world” and added that he was “delighted” to be working with the TH Real Estate team.
TH Real Estate is an affiliate of Chicago-based asset manager Nuveen, which is the global asset management arm of TIAA, a US-based not-for-profit organisation that provides investment, insurance and financial services.
