Matthew Reynolds, previously from Colonial First State, has joined the group and will be responsible for providing strategic advice on investment strategy and asset allocation to Capital’s clients.
Mr Reynolds has spent the past decade in the Australian equities team for Colonial First State Global Asset Management and has been head of the team for the past seven.
Capital Group Australia’s managing director Paul Hennessy said this was a significant hire for Capital group.
“We are delighted to have secured someone of Matthew’s calibre and track record. His significant expertise in financial markets and portfolio management will allow him to play a vital role in representing our investment services to Australian investors,” he said.
Mr Reynolds said he was looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that Capital Group would allow him.
