Deputy chair announced for EQT

The holding company for Equity Trustees, EQT, has announced the appointment of Jim Minto as deputy chair. 

Mr Minto has been a board director for the company since 2017 and from today will be a deputy chair and non-executive director. 

Prior to joining Equity Trustees, Mr Minto had a career of over 30 years in senior roles with leading life insurance groups like TOWER (now TAL) and as chair of ASFA. 

Equity Trustees chairman Jeff Kennett AC said that Mr Minto brought with him outstanding credentials.

“He has had an impressive career in financial services with many decades of experience in senior leadership roles and company directorships. 

“As deputy chair, Jim will support me, ensuring that the board continues to aspire to excellence in governance standards, the welfare of all our staff, and act in the best interests of all our customers and stakeholders, and stand in for me as required,” said Mr Kennett.

Mr Kennett congratulated Mr Minto on his new role and looked forward to working with him.
