AMP Capital Global head of Public Markets Simon Warner said Ms Alliston’s appointment is key for the business.

“Debbie has an excellent understanding of the business and how we can execute our strategic priorities in a dynamic market,” he said.

“Debbie is ideally placed to take on this role, and deliver superior outcomes for our clients, having been the head of multi-asset portfolio management for seven years.

“Her appointment is another great example of promoting quality talent from within our organisation.”

In addition to her current role, Ms Alliston is also the portfolio manager for AMP’s default corporate super offerings.

Prior to joining AMP Capital, she was with Apostle Asset Management as an investment director.

She has also worked with BT Financial Group in a range of roles including head of investments, COO, investment management and head of portfolio management.

AMP Capital’s Multi-Asset Group had more than $62 billion in multi-asset funds under management as of 31 December.
