Judith Buchan has been appointed to the position, which the firm said it formed to account for its growth and continuing business opportunities.
Ms Buchan is a former business journalist for Fairfax Business Media in Australia and Incisive Media in the UK, and has also worked in a number of in-house and agency-based roles managing media and PR activity for professional and financial services organisations.
She has most recently worked as an independent consultant, managing both the strategic and tactical implementation of corporate communications on behalf of clients.
Pritchitt Partners principal Leeanne Bland said the appointment of Ms Buchan complements the existing expertise of the firm, and will also serve to further strengthen its content capabilities.

Ms Buchan said the calibre of clients and reputation of Pritchitt Partners underpinned her accepting the newly created role.
