Ms Forbes, the former director of the commercial policy and risk team at NSW Treasury, has today joined MLC Life Insurance and will report directly to Sean McCormack, chief of group and retail partners as a member of his leadership team.
Ms Forbes’ main responsibility will be to drive retention and deep engagement with existing and prospective clients, while contributing to the development of the life insurer’s growing group insurance business.
Mr McCormack said Andrea is a highly respected leader in financial services and government sectors.
“Her experience will be an invaluable addition to the group insurance team as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of members, super funds and trustees,” he said.
Ms Forbes brings strong strategic and stakeholder management skills and a track record of balancing customer outcomes with commercial objectives. Most recently, she led NSW Treasury’s commercial policy team delivering new policies on board governance and executive remuneration for the state’s commercial businesses such as TCorp and Sydney Water. Prior to this, Ms Forbes was executive general manager, strategy, education and external relations at Sunsuper.
