Acknowledging the shift in the advice industry as of late, Wayne McGauley, IML head of retail commented Mr Voges’ newly formed role will be held responsible for managing clients from the chosen segments.
“In our view we believe that independent dealer groups and integrated wealth management and stockbroking businesses are in a good position to grow in the next few years and having Paul on board will help us in terms of servicing these important segments of the market,” Mr McGauley said.
“I believe Paul is the perfect fit, having developed strong relationships with clients across the advice industry for almost 20 years.”
Mr Voges has come to IML after five years at Colonial First State, where he was most recently responsible for alliance partner and multi-manager strategies.
He has also held distribution roles at MLC, Antares Equities and BT Financial Group.
Mr Voges stated he was looking forward to working for the “well-respected” fund manager.
“It’s also exciting to start the global equities conversation with firms who are not familiar with Loomis Sayles – which is a very well-credentialled fund manager that has been managing money for clients for over 90 years,” he said.
