IML has announced the appointment of Gavin Butt as co-state manager for NSW, state manager for the ACT, and national manager for New Zealand.

“Gavin has spent more than 12 years developing strong relationships with clients across the advice industry, and the depth of his experience will help us provide a high level of service to our clients in NSW, ACT and New Zealand,” said IML head of retail Wayne McGauley.

“Gavin is the second addition to our team over the past few months; we have focused on bolstering our team to provide consistent on-the-ground support for our clients.”

Mr Butt joins IML after three years with MLC as business development manager and four years with Fidante Partners as senior business development manager.

“At IML, I have the best of both worlds – the opportunity to discuss IML’s highly regarded [stable Australian] equity funds, as well as the Loomis Sayles global offering, which has hit the ground running in Australia, returning nearly 37 per cent over a one-year period following an enviable track record dating back to 2004,” Mr Butt said.

“I look forward to diving into my new role; it’s a great start to 2020.”
