Suzanne Cain, global head of distribution commented Mr Morrison’s appointment will help the company “meet the evolving needs and expectations” of its clients.

Matt Gaden, head of Australia at Janus Henderson added investors in the region have demanded a “wider range of performance drivers in their portfolios, to help them ride out this financial market instability”.

“But we also recognize that in addition to our investment proposition the need for a service proposition that creates lasting loyalty is critical,” Mr Gaden said.

“Gaining customer trust is all about remaining responsive to changing customer needs and helping your clients get what they need.”
