John Fraser has resurfaced as a member of the specialist panel at Credi Consulting, which was set up by former ASIC deputy chair Daniel Crennan following his departure from the corporate cop during the recent expenses scandal.
Mr Fraser left his position as a director of AMP Limited and chairman of AMP Capital Holdings following the Boe Pahari scandal, which also saw the departure of AMP Limited chairman David Murray. Both men were involved in the administrative action taken against Mr Pahari, which saw him pay a hefty penalty but retain his job.
Mr Fraser also served as secretary of the Treasury from 2015 to 2018 and a member of the RBA board. He is a non-executive director of Judo Bank and a guardian of the Future Fund.
Credi offers a variety of services, including “helping clients in highly regulated industries comply with regulatory frameworks” as well as advising on capital raisings and government relations. Mr Crennan is listed as the principal.
An independent review ultimately found that Mr Crennan had committed no wrongdoing by accepting up to $70,000 in relocation costs, which he has since paid back to the corporate regulator.
