Harry Benson – formerly of London’s Redburn Partners – has joined Citi’s Australian equities sales trading execution team where he will focus on “Australia’s small to mid-cap sector and servicing Citi’s growing international client base”.
Meanwhile, Citi managing director and equities product specialist, Ian Nissen, has made the move from Singapore to Sydney to focus on increasing the bank’s product capabilities across its platform including Cash, Prime and FCX.
Citi’s equities research team has also been given a boost with the addition of ESG analyst Hayley McGuinness.
Ms McGuiness, who previously worked at EY as a senior sustainability consultant, will work alongside Citi’s head of ESG research, Ed McKinnon, who just weeks ago was awarded Best New Piece of Research at the 2021 RIAA Awards for his report on modern slavery.
The new hires are expected to be followed up by four new appointments in Citi’s equity, fixed income, research and security services teams this quarter.
“Citi continues to attract talent and ensure the skills and capability are in place to meet with increasing activity from our clients,” Citi’s head of markets, Luke Randell said.
