Pengana Capital Group’s High Conviction Equities Fund has confirmed the appointment of a new portfolio manager.

Jeremy Bendeich joins the fund manager’s investment team having previously worked as portfolio manager of the UBS Australian Small Companies Fund and an investment analyst for Colonial First State.

Mr Bendeich will work alongside investment manager James McDonald on the High Conviction Equities Fund, which holds no more than 20 Australian and global companies at any time.

“Since the fund’s inception in 2014, the fund has significantly outperformed its benchmark across all time periods, having returned an average to 32.8 per cent per annum to investors”, Pengana chief executive, Russel Pillemer, said.
