The impact investment manager has expanded its team with a new vice-president in the investment legal space.

Tenielle Jordan has joined the team from Brookfield Asset Management’s San Francisco operation, the group confirmed.

Ms Jordan spent over a decade with Brookfield, most recently as the general counsel of the Brookfield technology arm. Prior to this, she worked in Brookfield’s infrastructure group in Sydney.

The firm highlighted her experience in transactions and acquisitions, growth equity and venture capital, capital raisings, restructurings and joint ventures, both in Australia and internationally as key to the appointment.

“We are delighted to have such a highly respected and experienced legal professional join the team,” said Conscious’ chief investment officer, Matthew Tominc.

Mr Tominc stated that Ms Jordan’s appointment would help the firm grow in a time where consumers are looking to make more ethically minded investment decisions.

“Tenielle joins at an exciting time for Conscious Investment Management and the impact investment market more broadly, which is increasingly showing the power of financial capital to have a sustainable, positive social and environmental impact,” he said.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Jordan said she was excited to contribute to Conscious’ company goals.

“I have spent over a decade working for one of the world’s largest asset managers and within complex transactions,” she said.

“When this opportunity arose, I leapt at the chance to put my skills and experience to work with an organisation that exists to make the world a better place”.
