Henry Lyons joins the Channel team, taking responsibility for strategic relationships with institutional clients and consultants across Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
Mr Lyons’ 10 years of experience was highlighted as crucial to the hire. Prior to his appointment at Channel, Mr Lyons worked at Dimensional and was responsible for managing institutional client relationships in the southern regions of Australia.
“Henry’s appointment is a continuation of our commitment to deepen our relationships with institutional clients and to meet the increasing client demand for a number of our capabilities across key private and public asset classes,” said Channel’s head of distribution, Andrew King on the hire.
“Expanding our team regionally will ensure that our clients benefit from a more personal and local experience.
“Henry is a highly regarded and experienced individual within the institutional sector and we’re very fortunate to have him join Channel Capital.”
Mr Lyons is also an active participant within the investment community, readily engaging as a member of the CFA professional learning committee and having previously served as chair of the ASFA emerging leaders committee (Victoria).
The appointment follows wider expansion within the business following the appointments of fellow distribution directors Sam Mirls within the Brisbane operation and Phelim O'Neill in the Sydney office.
Channel Capital provides a range of professional services to eight investment management firms with associated assets of $18 billion as of 30 June.
