Equity Trustees has announced Samantha Einhart has been appointed as the firm’s new company secretary.
Ms Einhart most recently served as company secretary at Maurice Blackburn and has over 10 years of experience in a range of ASX-listed companies including UXC Limited and REA Group.
“Samantha brings excellent experience to apply to the role in a trustee company,” said Equity Trustees managing director Mick O’Brien.
She holds a bachelor of laws and a graduate diploma in applied corporate governance and is also a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
“We congratulate Samantha on her appointment and welcome her to the senior leadership of Equity Trustees,” said Mr O’Brien.
The firm’s current chief financial officer and chief operating officer Philip Gentry formerly served as company secretary prior to his resignation from the role last week.
Equity Trustees thanked Mr Gentry for his contribution as company secretary and said it looked forward to him continuing as CFO and COO moving forward.
In the previous financial year, Equity Trustees reported a jump in funds under management, administration, advice and supervision to $144.2 billion, up 43 per cent compared to a year earlier.
