IFM Investors has announced the appointment of Chris Durack to its board as a non-executive director.
Mr Durack has nearly three decades of global investment and asset management experience and most recently served as Schroders’ co-CEO of Asia-Pacific, where he was responsible for the firm’s businesses across the region with assets under management of about $200 billion.
He was also formerly CEO and chair of Schroders Australia, CEO of Schroders Hong Kong and a member of Schroders PLC Group management committee.
“Mr Durack’s extensive experience as an asset manager, as well as an investor, alongside his global expertise makes him a great addition to the IFM board,” said IFM Investors chair Greg Combet.
“I’m confident his appointment will help us continue to deliver on our purpose, which is to protect and grow the retirement savings of working people.”
Mr Durack previously served as CEO at State Super NSW and has also held senior roles at Mercer and Towers Perrin.
Additionally, he was an investment board member of the Financial Services Council in Australia as well as an executive committee member and pension committee chair of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association.
"I’m delighted to be joining IFM Investors – a great Australian success story,” said Mr Durack.
“I look forward to working closely with my fellow directors to support IFM in delivering for investors and as it continues its ambitious plans for global growth.”
