Reporting to Franklin Templeton Australia’s head of sales Felicity Walsh, Mr Bowen will take the lead in several NSW-based accounts, including private banks and independent financial advisors.
Upon his appointment at Franklin Templeton Australia, Mr Bowen will draw from his experience of more than 15 years as a sales professional, including more than 10 years in the financial services industry.
Previously, Mr Bowen was vice president, wholesale and private wealth at PineBridge Investments, responsible for distribution and client service across wholesale advice channels, independent high-net-worth practices, private banks and brokers.
Earlier in his career, he held senior business development roles at Shed Enterprises and the Rainmaker Group.
Elated by Mr Bowen’s appointment, Ms Walsh hailed Mr Bowen’s “calibre and experience” upon joining Franklin Templeton Australia’s growing team.
“He is a great fit for our culture, which revolves around active engagement with our clients and being passionate about helping advisers find the right investment solutions for their clients,” Ms Walsh said.
She said Mr Bowen will provide critical depth to the team as we continue to offer an expanded suite of investment strategies, including the growth of alternatives capabilities.
Matthew Harrison, managing director of Franklin Templeton Australia and New Zealand, said Mr Bowen’s addition will “enhance our position and provide further support for our clients”.
“While the strength of our organisation lies with the expertise and autonomy of our specialist investment managers, our ability to work collaboratively with clients to find solutions remains our focus,” Mr Harrison said.
Reflecting on his appointment to the role, Mr Bowen said he looks forward to hearing and discussing the Franklin Templeton team’s insights on market, economic and geopolitical issues, and helping clients put them into action.
