Ausbil Investment Management has announced the appointment of Dimitri Giannaras and Marko Matosevic to the role of business development manager (BDM).
Joining from Zurich Investment Management, Ausbil said that Mr Giannaras and Mr Matosevic both have extensive experience overseeing investment fund distribution across global equity, Australian equity and AREIT asset classes.
Mr Giannaras will take up the role in NSW and Mr Matosevic in Victoria.
Ausbil also confirmed that Andrea McGarry has been promoted as BDM for Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Ms McGarry has more than 21 years of experience in financial services and previously worked at Magellan, as a practice manager and co-owner of a boutique financial advisory practice, and in marketing and distribution roles at Perpetual, Fidelity and Perennial.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dimitri Giannaras and Marko Matosevic as business development managers in our wholesale team, and to promote Andrea McGarry to her new role,” said Ausbil national manager, wholesale, Hik Chadirchi.
“Andrea, Dimitri and Marko bring many years of industry experience in financial services, and are focused on expanding our wholesale business across the country.”
Additionally, the investment manager has promoted former key account and research manager Fawaz Rashid to the position of research manager and state distribution manager, NSW.
In the new role, Ausbil said that Mr Rashid would steer the firm’s research and business development effort in NSW.

Ausbil has grown to have more than 60 employees since the firm was established in 1997 including 33 investment professionals, an in-house ESG research team and a chief economist.
