Atrium Investment Management has announced the appointment of David Harris as chief operating officer as the firm sets out on a new growth phase.
Mr Harris has 20 years of experience across a range of executive and leadership roles within asset management firms across the Asia Pacific region including Australia.
He most recently served as head of product at Pendal Group and previously held positions at AMP, GAM Investments, NAB Asset Management and Man Investments.
In the role of COO, the firm said that Mr Harris would oversee its core operational functions including investment operations, compliance and product while working with the group executive to form and drive overall strategy.
Atrium CIO Tony Edwards said that he was delighted to welcome Mr Harris to the firm.
“His track record in operations, corporate governance, and risk management places him in a strong position to deliver on Atrium’s operational efficiency programs and growth agenda, including our expansion into the broader advice market,” he said.
“I look forward to working with David to execute on Atrium’s strategy.”
Atrium currently offers a range of multi-asset and single sector portfolios to financial advisers as well as high-net-worth individuals and not-for-profit organisations.
In addition to being COO, Mr Harris has also been named as a director of the firm and a member of its group executive and leadership teams. Atrium said that he would work alongside Mr Edwards to implement its strategic vision.
“I am delighted to be joining the team at Atrium at a very exciting stage of their evolution and am looking forward to contributing to the execution of its growth agenda,” Mr Harris said on his appointment.
