Schroders Australia has announced the appointment of Colin Keenan to the role of institutional sales manager based in Melbourne.
Mr Keenan has 17 years of experience within the financial services industry across a variety of roles, ranging from institutional business development to goal-driven investment team positions across multiple asset classes.
Before joining Schroders, he served as the director of MLC Asset Management’s institutional business, a role he had held since 2019.
He also previously held a dual business development/investment role at JCP Investment Partners and worked in client relationship roles at Hastings Funds Management, and as an institutional foreign exchange dealer at the Bank of Ireland Global Markets.
In his new role, Mr Keenan will report to Schroders Australia head of sales, Ray Macken.
Commenting on the new appointment, Mr Macken said that Mr Keenan will bring an impressive breadth and depth of experience to the role.
“Colin will be tasked with servicing our institutional clients predominantly in the southern states and working with them to provide solutions across Australian and global equities, private markets, fixed income and multi-asset.
“We are thrilled to welcome someone of Colin’s calibre and disposition into our team.”
Mr Keenan will take on the role of institutional sales manager from 15 November.
In September, Schroders appointed Theone Star as the firm’s new head of private wealth.
