UniSuper has bolstered its private markets team with the appointments of Sukhi Lekhi as senior investment analyst and Lachlan McLeish as investment analyst.
Ms Lekhi joins the $115 billion super fund from Deloitte, where she was an associate director in the mergers and acquisitions valuation practice. Her career at Deloitte spanned international tax work, mergers and acquisitions, and advising organisations in industries ranging from renewable energy to infrastructure and retail operations.
Meanwhile, Mr McLeish joins from PwC, where he was most recently a senior consultant in corporate valuation advisory, undertaking valuations of large infrastructure assets in Australia and New Zealand. His previous experience includes roles at EY and PPB.
Both Ms Lekhi and Mr McLeish will report to UniSuper’s head of private markets, Sandra Lee, who said that she was pleased to welcome additional talent to the team.
“UniSuper is in the market for quality investment opportunities that deliver long-term value for our members,” she said.
“Sukhi and Lachlan are both highly skilled investment professionals with deep experience in valuations, mergers and acquisitions. I have every confidence their expertise will enhance our capability and deliver real outcomes for our members.”
The super fund’s private markets team currently manages an $11 billion portfolio of infrastructure and private equity investments.
This includes UniSuper’s recent investment in PRP Diagnostic Imaging and partnership with Uniseed. The super fund said that these areas had seen an increased investment focus over the past year.
