Aon Hewitt general manager, Janet Hayden, said the company has began discussions with Link Market Services in regards to its administration business.
“In New Zealand and Australia, and all other markets where Aon has a presence, we are constantly reviewing our various business units and investigating opportunities where we can streamline our operations and diversify our portfolio.
“We have been reviewing the options for our administration business in the local market and began discussion with Link, having been aware that Link was preparing to enter the market.
“We feel that given Link’s track record in securities administration, they are the ideal partner for our administration business.
“They would be committed to ensuring a smooth transfer, minimising the impact on our clients and employees,” said Ms Hayden.
Link Market Services chief executive Marcelle Ashcroft said: “We are very pleased to be working with Aon and believe that Link’s commitment to service, accuracy and ongoing technology investment will serve us well.”
