Darin Lester makes the move to Shaw and Partners from institutional brokerage BTIG, where he was a senior member on the institutional equity sales and sales trading desk.
Mr Lester previously held roles with Macquarie Group where he was a division director for alternative strategies and institutional sales in the group’s New York, Hong Kong and Sydney offices.
Shaw and Partners head of equities Mike Ryan said Mr Lester's appointment signals the building out of the company's institutional capabilities.
