Mr Tabberer joined Henderson in 2015 as an investment manager in the firm’s global equities team before moving to the emerging markets team in 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr Tabberer was an investment manager at Baillie Gifford, where he was part of a team investing in both global and North American equities.
Henderson head of emerging markets equities Glen Finegan, to whom the Edinburgh-based Mr Tabberer will report, said the appointment would support the firm’s growth in the emerging market space.
“The expansion of the Edinburgh-based emerging market equities team marks a milestone in the development of this franchise and reflects our continued commitment to the asset class,” he said.
“Ian’s previous investment experience and time at Henderson will be invaluable as we continue to deliver performance and service for our clients.”
