The AMP Horizons Financial Planning Academy has announced the appointment of Milo-Arne Peady to the newly-created role of academy head.
Peady has an extensive background in creating and implementing innovative learning strategies in financial services organisations.
She joins the group from Macquarie, where she led global projects on the training and development of key employee competencies across a number of the group's business functions.
"This new role is a key part of our business, ensuring our new planners continue to experience an industry-leading training curriculum, ongoing development and are supported by a strong coaching framework," AMP Horizons managing director Tim Steele told InvestorDaily.
Peady's appointment will also support the ongoing growth of the academy, he said.
In the meantime, the academy is looking to recruit someone for the position of head of practice, who will be responsible for operations and continued growth of the academy.
In August this year, AMP launched its fifth Horizons practice in Brisbane, following the successful introduction of Horizons practices in other states.
The practices do not compete with existing AMP Financial Planning practices but rather create an extension of the Horizons program.
Currently, when Horizons graduates complete the 14-week advice course, they have the option to join an existing AMP Financial Planning practice, establish their own practice or join a Horizons practice should they want to access further training, support and assistance.
