The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has launched a new, accelerated compliance course for those in the life insurance industry.
The course has been developed to provide life insurance professionals with ASIC Tier 1 compliance in less than seven weeks, ANZIIF education development manager Jason Fletcher said.
"The great response we had, to the introduction of our accelerated compliance course for brokers, really highlighted the need for a high quality ASIC Tier 1 life insurance compliance solution," Fletcher said.
"Not only will this new program deliver the RG146 requirements set by ASIC, it will also provide the important practical knowledge that is needed to succeed in life insurance."
The course covers a range of general and specialist subjects, some of which include complaints handling, legal principles, underwriting, codes of conduct and professional indemnity, as well as types and classes of products/policies available.
Commencing next month, the $950 course will be offered every two weeks, with applications now open.
The course can be done remotely and details can be found on the ANZIIF website.
